Oil prices higher as U.S. sanctions limit Iran exports

Russia's Novatek, S.Korea's Kogas sign LNG agreement

Russian energy company Novatek and South Korea’s state-run Korea Gas Corp (KOGAS) signed an agreement on liquefied natural gas (LNG) cooperation after talks between Russian President Vladimir Putin and his South Korean counterpart, Moon Jae-in, on Friday.

Russia tells EU gas supplies via Ukraine under no immediate threat

Russia’s Energy Ministry said on Saturday that gas giant Gazprom’s intention to terminate contracts with Ukraine poses no immediate threat to natural gas supplies to Europe through Ukraine.

Russia ready to support oil output deal as OPEC meeting looms

French institute suspects nuclear accident in Russia or Kazakhstan in September

A cloud of radioactive pollution over Europe in recent weeks indicates that an accident has happened in a nuclear facility in Russia or Kazakhstan in the last week of September, French nuclear safety institute IRSN said on Thursday.

Russia's Rosneft to take control of Iraqi Kurdish pipeline amid crisis

Russia’s biggest oil company, Rosneft (ROSN.MM), has agreed to take control of Iraqi Kurdistan’s main oil pipeline, boosting its investment in the autonomous region to $3.5 billion despite Baghdad’s military action sparked by a Kurdish vote for independence.

Saudi says 'flexible' on Russian idea to extend oil cuts to end-2018

MOSCOW (Reuters) - Saudi Arabia made no firm pledge on Thursday to extend a deal between OPEC, Russia and other producers on cutting supplies but said it was “flexible” regarding Moscow’s suggestion to prolong the pact until the end of 2018.
