The Economic Forum in Krynica

The Economic Forum in Krynica is the most prestigious event in Central Europe. It has been held annually by the Polish Institute for Eastern Studies in a picturesque mountain resort of Krynica (to be pronounced kri'nitsa) in southern Poland. Year after year, the Forum brings together over 2000 participants from more than 60 countries – Europe, North America and Asia, including European Commissioners, Heads of State and Government, Members of Parliament, businessmen, renowned NGOs’ representatives and journalists. Each year the Forum is covered by the major domestic and world-wide media (i.e. The Economist, The Financial Times, Le Monde, Kommersant, Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung)

The Forum’s agenda covers over 120 discussion panels divided into 10 thematic tracks:

Central European Journal for International and Security Studies

CEJISS is an academic journal designed as a bridge between Central European international relations and security perspectives with other regions, and as a means of providing fresh insights to the ever changing international relations and security environment. To those ends, CEJISS attracts authors from around the world and aims to breathe some fresh air into the field of international relations and security. This is achieved by providing a forum for young and more experienced scholars, irrespective of their political leanings, to submit contributions.

Gorshenin Institute

Gorshenin Institute (GI) is an independent, non-profit analytical and research center aimed to research political and social processes in Ukraine and in the whole world. It is an expert and communications platform for discussions on topical issues of national and international agenda. GI is an expertise for Ukrainian and international politicians, high ranked officials, CEOs, media, experts and NGOs.


BRE

The Pan-European Institute

The Pan-European Institute (PEI) observes the developments within the European economy and business throughout the whole continent. Its main focus is on reviewing changes both in the Baltic Sea region and in neighbouring countries of the European Union, especially in Russia, Belarus, and Ukraine. The results are published in a quarterly discussion forum, Baltic Rim Economies (BRE), which focuses on the development of the Baltic Sea Region. In BRE, high-level public and corporate decision makers, representatives of Academia and several other experts contribute to the discussion.

Established in 2009, the Middle East Institute, New Delhi (mei@nd) is India’s first research institute exclusively devoted to understanding the vital region. Though based in India mei@nd is neither India-centric nor partisan. It sees its role as facilitating a better understanding of the region in this part of the world. It attempts to do this through its publications, advocacy and policy initiatives and can be accessed at: www.mei.org.in

The Centre for East European and Asian Studies

The Centre for East European and Asian Studies (CEEAS) was founded in October 2007, as a non-governmental, non-profit organization, within the National School of Political Studies and Public Administration in Bucharest. The CEEAS is the first and so far the only Romanian research institution focused on promoting Eurasian studies in the national and international academic environment.
CEEAS's mission is to offer relevant and timely independent analysis built upon comprehensive research on issues that influence and shape the regional political and security environments in Eurasia. CEEAS aims to develop as an internationally recognized forum to foster academic, yet politically relevant debates on current events and issues of interest in Eurasia.
The CEEAS is implementing its mission by accessing financial resources such as research projects and grants, donations and the like.

The Italian Institute of Strategic Studies “Niccolò Machiavelli” is an independent – apolitical - no profit – Foundation - born by initiative of a well known group of Italian researchers seeking to develop innovative concepts proposed by the founders in many international conferences held in Italy in the past years. The Italian founders that took the lead in setting up the Institute come from many academic centers and Universities and they have been active in Italy for many years in the fields of research and education on strategic intelligence and global security issues, cooperating also with US and European Government think-tanks.
