EGF Affiliated expert Benyamin POGHOSYAN has offered comments to Der Spiegel on current developments in and around Armenia: “Armenian political scientist Benyamin Poghosyan, however, believes an agreement [with Azerbaijan] in the near future is very unlikely. He can understand why Pashinyan wants to make a deal as quickly as possible. The much-criticized prime minister, who lost Nagorno-Karabakh and made a mess with Russia, could then claim that he got along well with Azerbaijan and Turkey. But Poghosyan doubts whether a peace treaty is in Aliyev's interest at this point. "I don't see what he would benefit from such peace," says Poghosyan. READ MORE (in German)
