Dr. Marat Terterov, Director of the EGF, at Trinity College, Dublin

On October 17, 2012, Dr Marat Terterov, Director of EGF, addressed the 243rd Session of the, Historical Society, Trinity College, Dublin, in a debate where he opposed the motion that "This House Believes NATO Should Intervene in Syria,". Dr Terterov argued that the record of Western military intervention in the Muslim world has bequeathed a rather melancholic chain of events for the countries of the region and that we “need to have a very clear and unbiased understanding of key conflict dynamics before deciding to put boots on the ground”.
