Russian company Rosatom has started investing in the Turkish Akkuyu nuclear power plant project, Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan was quoted as saying today by the newspaper Sabah.

News Russia-China Gas Talks Resume In Moscow

Russia's gas monopoly Gazprom is resuming on Wednesday negotiations for the supply of 68 billion cubic meters of natural gas to China annually for 30 years, and the talks expected to gain momentum when a high-level Chinese delegation led by Prime Minister Wen Jiabao arrives in Moscow later in the day, Russian media reported.

News Ankara confirms request for more Russian gas amid Iran sanctions

Energy Minister Taner Yıldız confirmed on Tuesday that Ankara is in talks with Moscow to increase its gas supply to Turkey as US-led sanctions on Iran over its suspected nuclear program have forced Turkey to cut imports of Iranian gas.
