Azerbaijan, Georgia to continue joint energy projects

Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan negotiate to create infrastructure to transport Kashagan oil

Kazakh State Oil and Gas Company "KazMunaiGas" and the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) are in talks to create the infrastructure needed to transport oil from Kazakhstan's Kashagan field within the second phase of its development, Kazakh Ambassador to Azerbaijan Serik Primbetov said at a press conference at the Trend International News Agency on Tuesday.

Turkmenistan ratifies protocol in combating oil pollution in the Caspian Sea

Majlis (Parliament) of Turkmenistan at a regular meeting of the fourth convocation ratified the Protocol Concerning Regional Preparedness, Response and Cooperation in Combating Oil Pollution Incidents to the Framework Convention for the Protection of the Marine Environment of the Caspian Sea, an official Turkmen source said.

U.S.: EU third energy package to open markets in Europe and Azerbaijan for subsidized U.S. energy resources

The U.S. has recognized that the third EU energy package designed to open up the European market for energy resources subsidized from the federal budget. At yesterday’s meeting with members of the Caspian-European Integration Business Club (CEIBC) U.S. Ambassador to Azerbaijan Richard Morningstar stated that the U.S. believes that the third energy package aims to ensure energy security of Europe, and is not against Gazprom, KazMunaiGas and other oil companies.
