Taiwan party blames China for 'anxiety and panic' over missing man

China's failure to respond on the matter of a Taiwan man missing on the mainland is causing his family "anxiety and panic", Taiwan's ruling party said on Saturday, as it called on authorities to protect the rights of Taiwan people.

EU stalls Russian gas pipeline, but probably won't stop it

Russia has the European Union in a bind.

The bloc is divided between eastern European and Baltic Sea countries that see a new pipeline carrying Russian gas across the Baltic making the EU a hostage to Moscow - and those in northern Europe, most especially the main beneficiary Germany, for whom the economic benefits take priority.

Japan principal of scandal-hit school says he got donation from PM's wife

China says hopes new Japanese carrier doesn't mark return to militarism

Ukraine sees Russian hand in ammo warehouse blasts
