Japan, Ukraine to Perfect Post Nuclear Accident Response

Japan and Ukraine will join their efforts in liquidation of the consequences of nuclear disasters. The respective Resolution on Deepening the Relations with Ukraine has been unanimously approved by the House of Representatives of the National Diet of Japan (the bicameral legislative body of the country).

Japan to deepen friendly relations with Ukraine

The House of Representatives of the Japanese Parliament has passed a resolution to deepen the friendly ties between Japan and Ukraine, including cooperation in emergency response to accidents at nuclear power plants, the Ukrainian Emergencies Ministry's press service reported on Tuesday.

Tajikistan says Russia is main partner, rejects foreign offers

Tajikistan, a former Soviet republic bordering Afghanistan, has rejected requests by foreign powers to allow them to set up military bases on its territory because it does not want to upset Russia, its president said on Tuesday.

Armenian President receives Foreign Minister of Belarus

Kyrgyzstan does not agree with Russia’s Dastan terms

Kyrgyzstan plans to give Moscow only 48 percent of the "Dastan" plant's shares in exchange for writing off $180 million in debt instead of the required 75 percent. However, despite these differences, it does not plan to seek another investor, Kyrgyz Prime Minister Omurbek Babanov said in an interview with Kommersant-Power.
