Mhamed Biygautane is a Research Associate at the Dubai School of Government. Mr. Biygautane has completed a Master of Public Policy and Management (Distinction) from the Graduate School of Business and Economics at Monash University, Melbourne Australia. Earlier, he had been awarded a master's in Jerusalem Studies (Honors) from Kings College in the United Kingdom. His bachelor's degree is from Kent State University, Ohio, USA, where he majored in International Relations with a focus on International Economics. During the course of his studies, he was actively involved with a wide range of relationship building as well as leadership experiences. He has presented in conference in the US, China, Australia, UK, Belgium, France and countries in the Arab World like Syria, Lebanon, United Arab Emirates, Jordan and Morocco. His work experience includes being a researcher at the Department of Business and Economics at Monash University in Australia. Also, he had an internship with the Australian Trade Commission (Austrade), Government of Victoria, where his main duties included drafting policy proposals and making recommendations to Austrade's CEO and playing a leading role in a research project aimed at increasing Austrade's role in the government's new innovation agenda. Moreover, he also served as a research assistant at several of the institutions where he had studied. Since joining DSG in early 2010, Mr. Biygautane has actively contributed to the research Department and produced studies on Knowledge Management in the Public Sector, modernization and reforming of public sector and improving its performance, governance challenges in the Arab world and contributed as well to case studies that the DSG has co-published with the World Bank.
