Maxim Starchak, expert of the Eurasia Heritage Foundation. From 2011 – Research Fellow in the Centre for Military-Policy Studies of Institute for US and Canadian Studies. 2011-2013 – Executive Director of the Center for strategic estimation and forecasts. In 2011 – editor-in-Chief of journal "Big game: business, politics, security in Central Asia". 2010 – 2011 – head of analytical department of the Foundation for advanced studies "Bastion". 2006 – 2011 – Vice President, head of International security and conflicts Group, Chairman of the Advisory Council of the Youth branch of the Russian Political Science Association. 2007 – 2010 – member of the Executive Committee of Russian Youth Association of Euro-Atlantic cooperation, Member of the Council of the Siberian Center for the security and non-proliferation studies. Author more than 50 scientific works. Winner of numerous awards and honors: MGIMO (Univ), PIR Center, the Russkiy Mir Foundation, Federation for peace and conciliation, "Rosatom" State Corporation, Eurasian Development Bank, NATO Information bureau in Moscow, etc.
In 2012 – project coordinator "Russian foreign policy: estimates and expectations of young generation". From September 2012 – member of the Working Group on the establishment of a Coordinating Council for international youth cooperation at Rossotrudnichestvo. From September 2012 – member of the Russian Association of International Studies. From 2009 – expert of the project "Security Index of Central Asia", Institute of Political Solutions (Kazakhstan). From 2008 – member of the Atlantic community (Germany). 
Research interests: security problems in Central Asia, NATO-Russia relations, nuclear non-proliferation and disarmament.
